　　三、 語法

　　1、簡單句的五種基本類型：

　　① 主語+不及物動詞（S+V）如：

　　He cooks.

　　They're drinking.

　　② 主語+及物動詞+賓語（S+V+O）如：

　　She makes cakes.

　　They're drinking tea.

　　③ 主語+連系動詞+表語 （S+V+P）如：

　　He is happy.

　　They feel tired.

　　④ 主語+及物動詞+間接賓語+直接賓語 (S + V + IN O + D O) 該句型的謂語動詞必須是及物動詞，而且要加雙賓語，一般情況下，人為間接賓語，物為直接賓語，如果把間接賓語放在后面，在間接賓語前要加介詞for或to，如：

　　She passed him the salt.

　　⑤ 主語+及物動詞+賓語+賓語補(bǔ)足語 We keep the table clean，如：

　　He made us laugh.

　　2．由when, before, after等連詞引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句。

　　(1) when表示"當(dāng)……時"，"在……時候"

　　When the lights are red, the traffic must stop.

　　當(dāng)交通信號的紅燈亮?xí)r，車輛必須停下來。

　　(2) before表示"在……以前"

　　We cleaned the lab before we left school yesterday.

　　昨天我們在離校前打掃了實(shí)驗(yàn)室。

　　(3) after 表示"在……之后"

　　They talked about the party after the people left.

　　在人們離開以后，他們談?wù)撈疬@次聚會。

　　3、情態(tài)動詞的用法

　　（1）may的用法

　　① 表示征求對方的意見，如：

　　May I come in?　我可以進(jìn)來嗎？

　　② 表示允許對方干某事，意思是"可以"，。如：

　　You may do it after class. 你可以下課以后做。

　　③ 對某人某事的猜測，肯定句、否定句、一般疑問句形式為：

　　Xiao Li may know the teacher's address. 小李也許知道老師的地址。

　　Xiao Li may not know the teacher's address. 小李也許不知道老師的地址。

　　May Xiao Li know the teacher's address?(Yes, he may. / No, he may not.)

　　小李知道老師的地址嗎？（是的/不是，他知道/不知道）

　　（2）can的用法

　　① can表示能力、能夠，如：

　　He can do it。   他能做到。

　　② 表示請求和許可，如：

　　--Can I read the book？我能看這本書嗎？

　　--Yes，you can.

　　③ 表示可能性，如：

　　I think he can be here soon.  我想他很快就會到這里。

　　（3）must的用法

　　① 表示必要性，"必須"的意思，如：

　　I must go now. 我現(xiàn)在必須走了。

　　② mustn't=must not語氣強(qiáng)烈，表示"禁止"、"不準(zhǔn)"，如：

　　You mustn't smoke here.  這里不許吸煙。

　　③ 以must提問的句子，否定答句用need not (needn't) 來表示"不必" 的意思

　　--Must I clean the room now?   我必須現(xiàn)在打掃房間嗎？

　　--No, you needn't. 不，你不必。
